[Derek wants the remote control]
Derek: There's something I have to watch.
Casey: Oh let me guess -- sports or cleavage?
Derek: Women's beach volleyball. Best of both worlds.

[Casey loses her balance and starts to fall off the couch]
Casey: Derek, help!
[Derek reaches out, but instead of helping her he grabs the remote out of her hand. Casey falls over]
Lizzie: Are you okay?
Casey: No I'm not. I really hurt my ankle and it's all Derek's fault!
Derek: (watching tv) Keep it down.

Casey: So you'd think Derek would be feeling some guilt about being the reason that I hurt my ankle. Well, you'd be wrong and that just isn't right.

[Marti is dressed up as a doctor to tend to Casey's ankle]
Marti: Dr. Marti's here, where does it hurt?
Casey: Ow, don't touch.
Marti: What happened?
Casey: Ask your big brother.
Marti: Derek, you're in big trouble! We may have to operate, I'll get my scalpel.

Casey: I don't think our parents are going to be too pleased when they get the crime report.
Derek: "Crime report"? What crime?
Casey: Your crime, Derek! You're responsible for what happened!

Casey: (to Derek) To think in my time of need, you chose to save the remote over me!

Derek: Come on Casey, I told you it was an accident!
[As Derek moves closer to Casey, he brushes against her injured ankle]
Casey: Ow!
Derek: Okay, it wasn't an accident but you can't tell Dad because I just got paroled from that chandelier accident at Sam's last week!

Casey: I guess I could swing this as an accident if there was something in it for me -- a gift of some kind?
Derek: Name your price! I pay you no say, huh?

Casey: My pain, my gain!

George: (to Casey) I think you could use a bit more elevation on that leg. Uh, Derek -- give Casey your chair.
Derek: Oh of course! Anything to get Casey up on her feet again!

Derek: (to Casey) Enjoy my chair -- and while you do, just think of all the butt mileage and gas I've sunk into it.

Edwin: I just saw Casey sitting in your chair!
Derek: Merely a ploy to amuse the enemy to keep her from taking something I really want.

[A rumor spreads around school about how Casey hurt her ankle]
Sam: Dude, did you push Casey off the couch and break her ankle?
Derek: You really think I would do that?

Casey: (to Paul) Ever since I told people how I got hurt, which had the added bonus of making Derek look bad...

Casey: It's awesome! A wellwisher even bought me lunch today and I owe it all to Derek.
Paul: So this has brought you two closer together?
Casey: Not at all. That worm is gonna squirm.
Paul: You know, if you give love you get love.

[Casey is making a list]
Casey: "Things I Can Take From Derek." Headphones? Been in his ears. Bike? Been under his butt.

Derek: Time's up! What's it going to be, anything you want, name it.
Casey: Fine, I'll take your -- in fact, I've already got your White Stripes tickets!

[Derek is annoyed that Casey stole his concert tickets]
Edwin: Too bad you didn't get hurt first.
Derek: What did you say?
Edwin: I mean, if you got hurt first then Casey would owe you.
Derek: So that's why I keep you around Edwin! I can't get hurt first, but I can get hurt second.

Lizzie: Stupid Casey and her stupid ankle. She promised me that she'd stop bossing me around but she's guilting me into making her another stupid sandwich.
Edwin: I hear ya' sister. Thanks to Casey's stupid ankle, I gotta hurt stupid Derek and make it look like stupid Casey did it.
Lizzie: Good luck.
Casey: (yelling from the living room) Lizzie, don't forget the tomato!
Edwin: You too.

[Derek steals the remote from Casey]
Casey: I was watching that! Give it back or I'll --
Derek: You'll what? You've already got my everything! My chair, my tickets, my life! But you won't take my t.v.

[Derek hurts his knee when Casey trips him with one of her crutches after he steals her sandwich]
Derek: I can't wait to tell everyone at school you did this because of a sandwich!
Casey: No, you can't! People at school actually cared what happened to me. (she holds up a stuffed bear) They bought me a bear!
Derek: Cute! (he grabs the bear and throws it over his shoulder)
Casey: Derek, I'm -- I'm sorry I made you pay for what you did. I should have just let it go.
Derek: Yeah, you should've. But I won't.

[Derek is forcing Casey to wait on him hand and foot]
Derek: Oh, can I have the phone and something to drink?
[The phone is on the table next to Derek]
Casey: Come on, it's right there!!
Derek: (pretending to talk on the phone) "Hello, world? Guess what Casey did!"
Casey: (throwing the phone at him) Here! You are so immature!

[George and Nora bought tickets to the White Stripes concert and Derek and Casey are thrilled, until...]
Nora: We only have four tickets and we're going with you!
George: Yeah! So are you ready to rock?
[Nora and George start dancing around]
Casey: I forced Lizzie to steal. Ground me now.
Derek: It's my fault Casey fell. Ground me!
